Dr. Joseph Stiglitz : Market Design
In 2001 Dr. Stiglitz was awarded the Nobel Prize in economics for his analyses of markets with asymmetric information. He is a University Professor at Columbia University in New York and Chair of Columbia University's Committee on Global Thought. Dr. Stiglitz was a lead author of the 1995 Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which shared the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize. In 2008 he was asked by the French President Nicolas Sarkozy to chair the Commission on the Measurement of Economic Performance and Social Progress, which released its final report in September 2009. In 2009 he was appointed by the President of the United Nations General Assembly as chair of the Commission of Experts on Reform of the International Financial and Monetary System, which also released its report in September 2009.
Christopher Cook, JD: Of Legal Counsel
Mr. Cook assists clients with renewable energy transactional work and power purchase agreement drafting and negotiation for both commercial and utility customers of counsel to energy law firm Keyes and Fox. He also undertakes regulatory filings and policy work before federal and state renewable energy policy makers. Mr. Cook has a depth of experience assisting start-up renewable energy companies and creating sustainable renewable energy programs. Mr. Cook was formerly Sr. Vice-President, of Regulatory Affairs and New Markets for SunEdison, a company he helped found with three others in 2003. In his role at SunEdison, Mr. Cook worked with utility regulators, state and federal policy makers and electric utilities to create new opportunities for solar energy. He also served as General Counsel at SunEdison and helped construct the power purchase agreement (PPA) that has become the model contract for the solar industry. He is considered by many to be the leading national expert on net metering - the economic arrangement by which a customer generating their own power is compensated by their local utility. Mr. Cook was an assistant counsel with the Maryland People's Counsel, and then Director of Energy Policy at the Maryland Energy Administration. He is a former utility distribution engineer.

Mr. Zinke is CEO and Founder of Bright Planet Energy, a New York-based firm that finances, builds, and maintains large-scale solar energy systems. Dana Brandt, MS : Solar Power Engineering
Mr. Brandt has a breadth of knowledge and experience in solar energy projects. He founded Ecotech Energy Systems to implement solar power projects in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Mr. Brandt's expertise includes solar site assessment, photovoltaic system development and installation, approach to net zero energy, system design, application of financial incentives as well as electrical production and cost modeling. With renewable energy experience from eight countries on five continents, he holds a Master of Science with Honors in Renewable Energy from Loughborough University, England as well as a BS in Electrical Engineering from Seattle Pacific University. Mr. Brandt is also active in the emerging field of microgrids and distributed generation.
